Fiber Photometry Analysis
A complete web-based pipeline from raw photometry recordings to publication-ready figures and statistical results. No coding required. Works with every major hardware vendor.
Every rig. Day one.
No more converting between formats. ConductSignal auto-detects your hardware from the file structure.

The complete pipeline
Seven steps from raw signal to published figure. Every intermediate result is exportable.
Import
- Auto-detect hardware format from file structure
- Batch import (multi-session, multi-animal)
- Up to 4 channels per animal (signal + isosbestic + auxiliary)
Preprocessing
- Motion artifact correction via isosbestic control — linear regression, RANSAC (robust to outliers), or Lasso (multiple reference channels)
- Photobleaching correction (exponential decay fit)
- Bandpass / lowpass filtering
- Artifact rejection (configurable threshold)
Normalization
- ΔF/F — baseline methods: median, percentile, sliding window
- Z-score — whole-session or per-trial baseline
- Raw signal view toggle
Event Alignment
- Import behavioral timestamps from ConductVision, EthoVision, ANY-maze, Med Associates, or manual CSV
- Define events as points or intervals
- Configurable pre/post windows
- Peri-event time histogram (PETH) with confidence bands
Analysis
- GLM: drag events onto design matrix, raised-cosine basis, ridge regression with cross-validation
- Peak detection (amplitude, latency, AUC per trial)
- Pre-post baseline comparison
- Trial-by-trial heatmaps
Population Statistics
- Group comparison (treatment vs control)
- Permutation tests (10,000 shuffles, cluster-corrected)
- Mixed-effects models (random intercepts per subject)
- Hedges’ g effect sizes with confidence intervals
Export
- Publication figures: SVG, PDF, PNG at 300+ DPI
- Tidy CSV data export at every intermediate step
- Auto-generated methods paragraph for manuscripts
- Save analysis as reusable recipe
Why researchers switch
From hardware-bundled tools
Doric Studio and TDT Synapse lock you to one vendor's hardware. Labs running 2+ rigs have no unified analysis. No cross-rig population statistics. No cloud access or collaboration.
From open-source scripts
pMAT requires MATLAB ($500+/yr). GuPPy and FiPhA require Python fluency. No GUI workflow, no batch processing, no automatic event alignment, no methods paragraph generation.
